Concillian,

Your point is well taken, but at the same time WTF are the CHP doing patrolling a public parking lot? I have worked for a branch DLE in the past and I have nothing but respect for most officers but I feel that this is a bit much. That's all I'm saying...

To all others besides, Concillian, thanks for the love, even if no-one seems to wave back on the roads it's good to see we got's love in the i-club!!

-Peace

I'd just plead that someone jacked your license plate.

it just so happened that someone stole one of your plates and not two. and it just so happneed to be the front one, and not the bad one. lol the judge would be retarded to believe in this.

Probably going to **** off a couple people here, but, I just dont understand the whole front plate thing... I mean, who cares? Just put it on your car and loose the stress of worrying about getting a ticket for it. Its not like you need to have it off unless you are taking photos of your car or anything like that... Its not like you are loosing horsepower or anything performance wise when its on your car either

I got a ticket for these CVC eventhough it was the DMV'S fault
(told the cop that I haven't received the license plates yet but he won't believe me)had to go to dmv to ask for my plates so they issued a new one (according to dmv the 1st plates got lost in the mail )when i got my ticket they were charging $116.97 which is fo[<1ng crazy so had to go to court(wasted time)and ended up still paying $10 for a ticket that should have never been

Just stack the plates together and install them on the rear. Then tell the officer you thought you only received one. Then tell the officer you didn't notice the plates were stacked and you installed it on the rear only. Ignorance isn't an excuse, but you might get lucky...

What if when I bought my car it only had one plate installed, and I was not given/ issued the second plate?

i believe u are the one who is supposed to request for one. u can't really blame it on the dealer. and besides, its just like buying a used car with only 1 side view mirror, of course youre going to complain and ask for the second one right?

Don't park anywhere in downtown Palo Alto without your front plate. Tickets of any kind here are like a religion.

sometimes ppl take it off when washing, or for better air flow.. and just forget to put it back on.. i know that's the case for me. i don't really care whether it's on or off, but i am too lazy to remember to put it back on after i do take it off...
like my tools that always live in my trunk because i am too lazy to take them out
