Yuengling is the best Lager you are right about that. I could sit and kill a case, easily. Yuengling themselves do not distribute outside the East Coast. But if you go through a beer distributor you can get it shipped to you. I'm assuming. And the guy who owns Philly's Best is from there. His brother owns a pizza place in Northeast philly by Red Lion Square. So his brother could just ship it out to him.

And I'm not a fan of the Wiz! I'd rather have American.

Amato's is good, but not using Amaroso rolls kills that place. A soft roll makes all the difference when it comes to cheesesteaks.

And yea Ray, last time I was down there, no Yuengling.

another +1 for amato's. I wish it was closer to my house, but in some ways I'm glad it isn't!

you guys that say amatos is good are crazy. The quality is crap. They charge out the *** and only give you veggies unless you order only meet and cheese. About the only thing good there is the bread and onion rings.

Pay a visit to the LIC boys in Novato and ask them about Italian Delite. That place has the best phillys out of any place i've had them.

Lots of killer hot sauces there.

not a traditional philly in my opinion though...but still tastey.
Yeah, a friend of a friend owns the place.

I think it's pretty good as long as you don't just order the boring cheesesteak, you have to get the deluxe which comes with everything. But, it just shows how much I'm missing out with the good cheesesteaks

There's supposed to be a cheese steak shop being built in San Ramon. Anyone know if that chain is good?

And Geno's is where the tourists go, same with Pat's. Any small pizza or sandwich place will make you a great cheesesteak.

To the OP you should try a Hoagie. Or even a cheesesteak hoagie. Mmmmmm........

Incase you people didn't figure it out I'm from Philly. Born and raised 13 years.
the BEST Cheesesteak ive ever had was at a small pizza joint in the residential side of Claremont Mesa, a few blocks from Claremont Mesa Dr. Damn good cheesesteak, damn good. thinking about it right now makes me wanna go on a road trip to San Diego/Claremont Mesa, just for it..... +100 on small pizza joints....
