And Geno's is where the tourists go, same with Pat's. Any small pizza or sandwich place will make you a great cheesesteak.

To the OP you should try a Hoagie. Or even a cheesesteak hoagie. Mmmmmm........

Incase you people didn't figure it out I'm from Philly. Born and raised 13 years.

That's true about Geno's but I said there because I knew for sure he wouldn't know any hole in the wall places. Geno's is good though but sometimes there's a wait. That place sounds authentic as hell. Amoroso rolls and Wise potato chips are what you get in Philly. Herr's potato chips are better though.

I love Herr's potato chips. We actually know of the restaurant that the guy's brother owns up in northeast Philly where we're from. I went to Philly's Best like 2 years ago and saw that they had Yuengling. I almost bought a case but didn't. I went to Philly's Best just this past summer on my way back up here from San Diego and they didn't have any Yuengling there. But I went back to Philly in October and drank all the Yuengling I could get my hands on. ahahhaha

between Geno's and Pat's, Pats is the much better choice, but i still like Jim's steaks on South Street better than the other two.

If you're in Fremont,
Bob's Hoagy Steak
37404 Fremont Blvd
Fremont, CA
is pretty good if you get the deluxe. However, most of the other food isn't that good except for the tempura onion rings.

It's supposed to be a chain, but the one in Hayward isn't as good, and I haven't tried the one in San Leandro.

they're not bad. Don't korean's own that place?

Lots of killer hot sauces there.

not a traditional philly in my opinion though...but still tastey.

On a side note, anybody see that Carl's Jr. commercial for their Philly Cheesesteak burger? That commercial annoy's the crap out of me. They talk like they are from Brooklyn, not Philly. Yea we talk like we have marbles in our mouthes but not like that.

I like amiato's in san jose or cambell..whatever that place is..used to have a suby meet there. Good food.

How did they get Yuengling outside the East Coast? They make the best domestic lager, hands down. As for Cheesesteaks, Genos is good, but there is a place on South street that is better. (can't remember the name)

NOTE: ALWAYS GET WHIZ.
