Shouldn't this have been put up for a vote? Or was it already a poll on the main page?
I dunno, I just feel that if there's a major change like this, a poll or whatever should have been put up. Unless I missed something.

I agree, make it use more of the screen for those of us with 1600 x 1200 displays.
Thanks

ditto...
i really dont care what the design is... but when it's centered and when i resized fonts and it stays centered... defeats the purpose of it...
remember, CONTENT comes first...

Ok.
Now I hear some good comments. Not just whining.
Yes, the ability to pick your skin is there, but I am not an art designer to make them. Feel free to make me skins and I will put them up for people to choose.
This is not the final design. I would say that this design is 20% of what it will be. I just didnt want to use the default VB3 skin. However, I myself don't like this layout that much, so I will make sure to "fix" it tonight.
Keep the comments coming. Don't just cry. And, try to add something new, rather than "it sucks".

the increased amount of scrolling seems abundant... seems a bit more complex than the previous set up also, making it harder to surf around on a slow computer...
Running the board without the gradient background when u click a button will decrease load time...
I believe the smilies GIF should be taken out of the reply interface, make them jpeg images, but once posted... then make them gif's... so my suggestion would be no gif's in the reply interface...
also.. the time is wrong I believe
ALso... I think it would be awesome to add an I-Club chat in a flash form maybe, so everyone can just log onto a chat in real time.. rather than post *****

I think the layout is visually impressive, but there's a lot of extraneous graphics around the text.
I def. realize this is a work in progress.
I actually think the topic review is really clean (as in, click "Reply" and it's the thread review that loads below the text box for your response) and would make a great basis, in cleanliness and in layout (with the user info on the left again) for the normal thread view, and I really like the new colors and features.
Keep up the good work, man, it should look dope when it's finished.

I like the change, the only thing that seems hard to deal with is the scrolling...also it would be cool if the posts were not in individual boxes and were a little closer together.
The colors are definatly nicer, now all we need are more smilieys
Will finishing up the site make scrolling back to normal?...I am not sure if its the images that is making it slower or what, either way thats the only thing thats making it hard to deal with right now...other then that, the format looks good.

besides being hard to distinguish posts, the text is also WAY too small, I notice when I read odyss3y's oversized post it was the first time I was able to lean back in my seat to read a post, the rest of the time I was leaning forward to try to distinguish which post was which and by who while trying to read the tiny text.
Other than that I might get used to it, a litle color might make it a bit less depressing and easier on the eyes.
Also one thing Ive always meant to ask, why not just let everyone have avatars
Im registered on over 40 car forums, mostly for my business, and this site and nasioc are the ONLY ones that dont let everyone automatically have avatars. Even if not all of them will host them you can at least link one. Did some kind of problem happen at some point before I got here that made them take them away? If you dont like looking at them you can always turn them off on your own control panel. It just seems absurd.
