No changing the cats.

Nothing is legal. A K&N filter, but that's $40 down the ****ter. CARB doesn't care about catbacks, all are legal, except if they are too loud.

I hate CA. Good thing it's better than the rest of this country.

doesnt the catback Have to have a carb sticker though? i was talking to a state ref and said it would only be ok if there was proof there. does the vishnu or stromung(dual 3") catbacks have like a certificate/sticker with them?

yea it can be kinda dumb when samco ic hoses, etc are illegal.. state ref barely let me go with my turbo timer. i Failed mil/cel though.. =/ ?

Like Mexicanpizza said, all catbacks are SMOG legal (noise is a different matter) because, well, they are AFTER the cats.

If a state ref claimed you need a sticker, well, I think it is proof positive of why smog in this state is such a clusterf***

And yes, the Borla headers do have a CARB EO number. Note the number is only valid IF you leave ALL of the cats in place (including the uppipe).

Did you have a MIL eliminator installed when you went to the ref? They can cause a "Not Ready" status for the pollution check. Which reminds me I have to remember to take mine out soon.

Greddy says that All their exhausts are legal. It's only when you pass the 90 decible level is when you can get fined. I went with the Evo2 from Greddy. Me likes. Not too loud, not too soft. but if you go catless, it'll make it loud. Greddy provides a certificate that informs the authorities that your decible level is california regulations. Borla's another good one

If the cop doesn't care about the paperwork, you will still need to go to the ref and get a smog.
