people trip way too much about driving up to tahoe. seriously, go with the flow and you'll be fine in either the accord or the wrx. snow tires only matter if you're going on the smaller uncleared streets. ALL the resorts have nice cleared paths up to them.

fwiw, i take my RWD 1991 Nissan P/U all the time...now that thing is fun.

stay home. the streets are finally getting back to normal traffic. ha, ha.

or if you have to come here, as of today, about 97% of streets have dry pavement. and there are grass/dirt spots on the side of the road.

just because black ice exists, doesn't mean its everywhere and you have to drive 15mph down the highway.

only snow day I see in the next week is thursday.

I was up there. Some ice but no snow. Winds were worse than anything. The RE's should be fine. Just be careful. Pretty much..my advice...take what you feel comfortable in.

same for bear valley...they got 14 inches wed. Thursday it all blew away. I was hopeing there'd be stashes on the back in the trees. There were a few but everything there was was pretty much crusted over from the very cold night before and the winds. Still had fun though.
