No anti-biotics.

Blood was bright red but it was one of those things that was a no doubter for me. I've puked blood before. And every time I took note of the quantity. I think the only reason they didn't shove the hose in my nose at the E.R. was because I heald it together the whole time I was there... mostly because I was on empty.

I've gotten to the point where i can barely eat pepperoni. I can eat VERY little of it. I've gotten food poisoning from it 3 times.

I have been hospitalized from food poisoning once before... my brother in law used some ice cream that had melted and been refrozen in a milk shake he made me. I was so out of it I started ripping the I.V. out of my arm and couldn't tell them my own name.

Think I've had food poisoning 5 times now. This one was a bit different and the timing of the no safety seal on the water bottle had me going... hmmmm.

Ouch, hope you recover ASAP!

I had stomach flu right smack at new year's, gastroenteritis or something like that. Very similar experience to yours, but (thankfully?) no blood. Just puking and pooping like no tomorrow. Lost 10lbs in 3 days I think....

Try to eat bland things that don't have any or much acid because that'll **** off your gutl; keep away from OJ, vinegar, stuff high in vitamin C unless its buffered. Ensure might be a good way to get nutrients in a stomach friendly way.

If you start noticing a lot of blood (dark tarry or bright red) or you start getting dizzy, short of breath or start having any pains in your chest call 911.

Just saw that you were sick, were you on anti-biotics?
Exactly what i was thinking. I got your same exact symptoms last year when i got home from wek fest. Ended up getting hospitalized because i literally could not hold anything down. Ice chips, pepto bismol, gatoraid. I felt as if i got hit by a truck, my whole body was fatigued and in pain. It lasted for around 3 days. But it was the stomach flu, they gave me anti nausea meds and tylanol. Try eating very neutral foods, white rice seemed to work the best for me

Chicken broth, LOTS of fluids, white rice (or chicken & rice soup which has all of those), stuff that is easy to digest and goes through the system easily. Something with electrolytes like Gatorade. Whether you were spiked or not, there's not a lot you can do but ride it out. You'll be well by the time you find out what it is. Like a cold, all they can give you are things to make the symptoms less, they can't really give you something to fix the problem usually.

Yeah they gave me the anti-nausea meds 3 different time. The last time they were like... really? You still feel sick. That's when they told me I was good to go and I promptly got up and puked and **** in their bathroom. That's when they gave me the pain meds..... something with an F. Knocked me the F out is what it did.

Yeah that sound right. I think it was the same stuff they gave my wife when she was pregnant. All I know is it knocked me the F out.

that sucks man.. about 3 months ago i got pretty bad food poisoning and stomach flu and i was sick for a week. didn't leave the house for 4 days straight because i had to be near the bathroom all the time. and i almost passed out at one point with nobody around. didn't see a doctor or anything tho due to no health insurance but i didn't eat for 3 days straight and lost at least 5 lbs. still have no idea what caused it.. came out of nowhere kind of like some others have said.
