how the **** do illegal immigrants even get accepted to a college? im not saying they are dumb by any means but how do you get accepted into a college when youre illegally in the country? this has got to be the stupidest **** i have ever heard. they are here illegally, the only thing they should get is a swift kick in the *** and a bus ride back over the border and charge them for the inconvenience of having to take the time to drive them back. for all those who take the correct avenues and become legal citizens, i say give them the scholarships, they are legal. just so no one thinks this was racially motivated, i recently helped a guatemalan guy i work with become a legal citizen, i wrote letters to judges about his character as well as went to a couple court dates with him. there is no reason we should hand a single dollar to an illegal immigrant.
and if i remember correctly in mexico if you are caught being in the country illegally, you get 10 years in mexican jail. in america we just let you stay or give you a bus ride home. what a crock of ****. i dont see why jerry brown signed this. i mean what is he going to lose the vote of people who cant legally vote. hes just handing our tax money away. i would rather my tax money go to people on welfare than illegals

The Dream Act has an estimated cost of $40 million.
The act allows illegal immigrants accepted to state universities to receive Cal-Grant assistance beginning in 2013. Cal-Grant provided an average of $4,500 each to more than 370,000 low-income students.
370,000 x $4500 = $40 million????
never mind I am an id10T

This was easy to approve because it places no additional cost to the government of California (the money comes out of the existing Cal Grant funds - directly out from under low income legal students who would otherwise be receiving financial aid).
I do not understand the reasoning behind this bill. I say give the money to those who need it who have the capacity to work legally in the state and contribute to state/federal income taxes.

That is all I have to say about this. Cannot believe this is actually going through.... If you're ILLEGAL, **** you're not LEGIT GTFO of this state and stop taking our money that could be used towards taxpayers benefits, not ones that are unregistered.
I see that it is giving illegal immigrants money to attend school and it sucks because there are people who need it that maybe won't be receiving it. But at the same time, there are legal people who are simply taking advantage of state/federal programs such as welfare. They should be addressed as well because I see more white or anglo american and african american people, who are obviously legal on the corners and at freeway exits asking for money than illegal immigrants. They are legal, they should work, not ask for money. That ish is ridiculous. Flame suit on!

I agree there are people who do take advantage of it, but regardless they are trackable. We should start testing like Florida...

I dont have a problem with it. The only reason why we are "LEGAL" is because we came out of our mothers ***** in US soil. I'd love to go back and talk history and see who's land this really is and who are the people that really got screwed.....
