burning oil, dooming smog?

You should be fine. Most of the time your cars burns oil before it exits the exhaust. I don't really "burn" oil but I do tent to top it off with about 1/2 quart ever 3000 miles. Subaru loves to burn oil, some don't. My stock 2.0 with stage 1 and no problems at all went through 2 quarts every 3000. I went to Subaru and they said that's ok. Subaru says 1 quart for every 1000!! I don't know how "ok" that is but it's what yet told me.

it might, but its not that big of a deal, pretty much every chevy LS like mine burns a court or two between oil changes once they get over 50K as do pretty much every rotary ever built, and we still pass smog. if your worried pay for a pre-test first to be sure, better that than have a fail on your record
