i am pretty sure that my 03 wrx is burning oil, i dont know the actual reason. i have a hi-power HKS turbo back exhaust and before it was burning oil i could smell the gas since it doesnt have a cat now i can smell and see the oil, the smoke it gone a white-ish color and it smells like it.

im using valvoline synthetic oil - i ve used it eversince the first oil change.

 

do you do your own oil change? Shop? Some time oil could have dripped on your exhaust system and you could smell it for a while.

 

no man, i can see the white smoke and also smell the burning oil, but it decreased a lot after they put in regular oil, i can still smell it time to time but not always as before, im assuming itll go away, i just gotta go back in the dealership cuz they gotta do that oil consumption test.
