Before you make this comment; I suggest you research the subject matter and read the articles involving the Lopez family from the US, also involved in the sport. You will not be on the side of the refs considering the long history of biased officiating that's been going on along with the WTF forcing competitors to come up with a clean image to remain in the Olympics.
But it doesn't matter how skewed the rules are in the WTF, competitors should take up their grievances in a civilized manner with the governing body. If they don't like it, they should go join the ITF. And if they don't like that, they should take up a real fighting art like Muay Thai or Kyokushin Kaikan

That's not a very wise thing to say! I am very well aware of the current issues in the WTF, and I think it's stupid too.

Rather, I was addressing av98's assertion that there are many problems with the WTF, which with some research seem to be true. It would be better for WTF competitors to address officiating methods in a formal, civilized manner with the sport's governing body than to snap kick a referee in the lip.

FULL CONTACT, LEG KICKS, FACEPUNCHING, AND CLINCHING! WITH NO PADS!
Kidding, kidding.
Dude, relax. Didn't you see the LoL face after my comment?
I could tell you all about MY experience in Muay Thai, Judo, BJJ, and the World Oyama Karate organization, but I'm not all butt hurt about this whole style vs. style thing so there's no reason for me to beat my chest and grunt about it.
Besides, everyone knows no touch dim mak is t3h b3sT!

Real fighting? Your a fool! Just because you THINK your fighting style is the best you have to put down another one? I have been doing Taekwondo for almost 20 years. I have competed at the international and won. Just because you watched a Tony Ja movie or maybe played too street fighter you think your the s***. I am not saying that Taekwondo is the best fighting style because it really come down to the fighter. The reason that the Cuban fighter was dq'ed was because he was wasting time trying to protect his lead. That is why the ref can stop the time or not stop the time. If you watch the fight you will see that the Cuban fighter, after he takes the lead on points, He pretty much stops fighting. He clutches and pauses to keep his lead. Taekwondo is not perfect but no style is. I would prefer to see Taekwondo taken out of the Olympics because it is fighters like Angel Matos and the Lopez family that are ruining the competition. When I started competing you fought till the match was over not till you took the lead. The Cuban fighter was rightfully banned.
