i can blame him, get the F up and fight. Fighting isnt about crying on the sideline about an injury while making millions of viewers wait and waste their time lol

Really? You think a ref should be attacked just for doing his job? That rule might be unfair, but you know the ref didnt make the rules, and Im sure the kickboxer has known full well about that rule for as long as hes been competing.

hopefully the ref gets a wad of cash for taking a kick from an olympian!

Now he can say, "ive been kicked in the face by one of the best kickboxers in the world!"

That must be a pretty hard kick!

+11billion

the ref does NOT deserve to be attacked for enforcing the rules.

Had he not done so, the match would have been overturned on appeal anyways. Its a SPORT about FIGHTING, for gods sake, 1 minute is more than enough to decide if you can continue or not. There is even a GIANT CLOCK counting down for the fighter to see if he is gonna run out of time.

If the fighter is unwilling to abide by the rules, he shouldn't be fighting. Instead, he chose to attack the ref unprovoked - he deserves to be banned for life from competition, as well as charged with assault & battery.

Cereal???

The dude got DQ'd for being a sissy and not fighting so he kicks the ref in the face. That's pathetic. Are you the kind of guy that sucker punches people when you throw a fit to prove a point or what?

Didn't want to fight his opponent but he was well enough to sucker kick the ref. That guy was effin baby about the whole thing.

I really REALLY hope the IOC drops this so-called "sport" for good: stupid rules, stupid judging, stupid scoring, allegations of no-complaint contracts between the WTF and Olympians, chest-bump "clinching" -- Gahd, I hate WTF.

Funny stuff, remember people do some stupid stuff in the heat of passion. Sorry grammar sucks, I think I said it wrong. Anyways ref should of been knocked out cold from that kick, either way it was wrong of the dude to do that to the Ref. Welcome to WTF dude

If you saw the video 1 minute to address the jammed toe the fighter suffered is pretty crappy. Either way I do hope they take Taekwando off the Olympic events as it's been long known to have inconsistencies starting from the top ruling body on down to the refs. Those refs do deserve to be kicked in the head; considering how inconsistent they knowingly have bent the rules. His paycheck from the kick probably coincides his bribes from the WTF.

Before you make this comment; I suggest you research the subject matter and read the articles involving the Lopez family from the US, also involved in the sport. You will not be on the side of the refs considering the long history of biased officiating that's been going on along with the WTF forcing competitors to come up with a clean image to remain in the Olympics.

Doesn't matter. That has nothing to do with this. If you don't like how the game is played, then don't play. If you can't act like a grown up, stay out of the Olympics.

He had his minute to get his *** in gear and he couldn't/didn't do it. Clearly an easy DQ. Kicking the ref in the face wasn't called for. It was a cheap shot and he was a little ***** for doing it. Being banned for life is what he deserved.
