Had a garage door "incident". Any recommendations in 408?

Are you paying for the repairs yourself or going through insurance?

If you are going through insurance ask them where they want you to go as going to a shop out-of-network can be an issue and take longer to get your car back.

Dunno yet. I guess if it's below $1500 or something might pay cash

Anderson Behel in Santa Clara. Really excellent work. One of the guys who works there is a Suby guy too.

I'll say - if there's painting to be done, about the entry level cost is $3000.
I've personally used Pan American Autobody in San Jose and was happy with their work.

I can also speak highly of https://michaelandcompany.com/

Thanks, guys. Looks like it'll be insurance. Have you used insurance with them? I think paint is required - know if they use dealer paint?

Anderson Behel was recommended by my friend's insurance when he got hit. I went with him to pick up his car when they finished it and they did an impressive job.

They were also on the list when my son recently got in an accident too but his car ended up being totaled.

Pretty much all body shops accept all insurance. It's just part of doing business.

Factory paint was garbage you don't want it

I've been checking out yelp reviews (note - not for the above mentioned). Have seen some headaches with certain shops involving insurance providers. As this is my first claim ever, was just curious on experience.

With regard to paint, it's not a subie.

I have always taken my cars to Yeaman Auto Body in Palo Alto. They do insurance jobs all the time. I did not have any problems going to them with my insurance.
