Subie hit, need dealership in East Bay with body shop on site or high end body shop.

My wagon got tagged last night, back end, f'd to hell, left rear wheel 15* canter into the car, etc. BAsically nasty. Left rear suspension mounts bent noticably. I'm looking for a Subie dealer in the East Bay with an on-site body shop, or a high-end independent body shop (certified) for an estimate, as I'm worried about the suspension points (ie possible total due to frame damage). The car is currently residing at Diablo Subaru, but they do not do body repairs on site. They are suggesting I go to Mike's Autobody. Mike's does not do independent estimates, they only use the insurance company estimates. Any suggestions for shops?

I'm guessing you're going through insurance? If so, they should have a list of recommended shops.

There's insurance suggested, which will not neceassarily get me a proper estimate. Independent shop not tied to the ins company will be more likely to give a proper estimate.

hmm, you could try EMC collision in fremont... i took my car there for some bumper and body panel work.

Central Collision in Fremont...i detail the cars that they fix and they come out really nice....they do a lot of Corvettes and Mercedes so they cant be that bad...
