My WRX Got Smashed Monday - Body Shop Recommendations

I was in San Leandro heading out to the Sushi House before the Spurs/Warriors game on Monday and my 2002 WRX got smashed from behind by a Fed Ex truck when I was stopped at the light. The hit knocked us across the intersection but luckily no cars had gone. The engine works fine but the trunk and rear windshield are in my backseat. Everyone's ok no injuries which was the good thing because the damage looks a lot worse.

Does anyone know of a body shop in Pleasanton I can tow it to because the car is stuck at the tow lot right now. Thanks!!!

you might check with your insurance company first. It sounds bad enough that they might total the car... good thing you walked out okay. hope things get taken care off... good luck!

If the pillars are smashed in, the car is probably totalled. I would go with StupidDent's suggestion - visit your insurance company.

ouch. you should still get checked out by a doctor. back/neck injuries can show up a week later.

i ended up taking my car to parkway bodyshop in dublin. they did a good job w/ my repairs. state farm approved.

good luck!

I have AAA and I'm hoping they'll total the car but on the other hand I can't really afford another car payment because of a gigantic mortgage. I'm still waiting for the adjuster to call me today to see if he IS going to total it.

+1.

dont sign anything saying that FEX EX wont be liable for future pain and suffering UNTIL you see a doctor.

sometimes, they flash you $$$$ in order to get you to sign away your rights...

i work for fedex and just incase your thinking about it be carefull taking fedex to court

they have a awesome legal team that basicly gets paid to keep things tide up in court and drag cases out as long as possible.

i heard storys of drivers having to testify about stuff that happened 2 years ago that was still in the courts.

getting a pay out is not unheard of but once you take them to court its game on haha

whoa...

i dont mean to sound like an ambulance chasing lawyer.

i just wanted to tell the dude that sometimes, big companies will have a person sign away their rights when they are asked to sign a waiver, which eliminates their rights to take legal action...

Funny. The guy handed me a card to fill out that said something like this: "By my own admittance, the driver of the Fed Ex truck is not in any way at fault for the accident"

I handed it back to him blank and then I checked out everything else I had to fill out for them including the one my passenger had to fill out.
