I would rather pay more and buy eggs and chicken than kill a beautiful animal like this....seems a bit cruel to snuff it out over a few chickens (chickens are $1.50 at the local supermarket after all...)

The topic of the thread is about the best tuner in the bay right?
Would it not make sense for the best tuner to have tuned the fastest car then?
Speed ain't cheap..and if you have a fast car and don't know how to drive it then go see the guys a Jim Russel school or get out on a Wed. night drahg at Sears or Sacramento.
The funny thing is that many of the people nut swinging here have lighty modded cars...and don't have an idea of what a real tuner does for a living.
Trust me, when i say you don't really know what a tuners made of until he builds a monster car from start to finish.
Anybody can just throw a few parts together and flash a car and make a few minor changes to somebody elses base maps.
A true tuner builds race cars not 200whp daily drivers ..sorry thats the truth, and i may get flamed for saying this, as it stands many tuners provide services to normal folk to pay the basic bills.

A TRUE TUNER can tune a race car, a completely custom job with undiscovered territory like custom manifolds, etc or tune a daily driver for optimum longevity. What it sounds like you are saying is most of us 'nut swingers' aren't cool enough to comment on this subject, and that, is BS.

Thanks so far!
Wow guys, thanks for all the feedback. The tuner stories and experiences are really helping me to make up my mind. I'll keep reading more of your input but right now it appears that it is between Mike and Ed with a slight favor to Mike because he is right up the street from me and Ed is quite a drive. I still need to give them both a call and ask a bunch of questions, though, because I think this is a very good recommendation.
One interesting "tuner shootout" idea would be to have both tuners tune a single car on a dyno and see who can get the best results (whatever that means). I'm really not recommending this as a remote possibility because I'm sure these guys have more to do with their lives than entertain us with a meaningless competition. Still, it is fun to think about...
Oh yeah, and as odd as it sounds, I have even enjoyed the entertaining banter about the dead cat-thing and dog with the "Oh ****, what have I done" look on his face picture.
