What it do BAIC,
I know a bunch of us here ride all winter long. Well, the season is coming up and was wondering if you guys were goin to buy a season pass this year? If so, at what resort? For the past 4 years, Ive bought the Northstar/Sierra double whammy season. But this season, I might get a season pass at a different resort. Don't get me wrong, I love Northstar (dope *** park and pipe) but for the past few years, its starting to feel like Squaw Valley. Its super packed on the weekends to where you have to wait for about 10 riders just to hit a rail or kicker
Also, alot of my riding buddies are either no longer in the Bay Area or are still injured from last season. I would like to ride with new peepz in the Bay. Im a park rat but will NEVER pass of fresh powder runs. Let me know.

Wow! I can't believe that I'm coming up on my 12th season of riding. Surprisingly, I have never gotten a season pass. Never. I almost buckled last year, and, in retrospect, I'm glad I held out once again. They have their pros & cons. Imho, they're not for everybody.
For me, personally, I like to hit up several different spots, so it doesn't make sense to get a pass for just one (or two) resorts. However, if I was part of a ski lease or had property close to a particular mtn, then I'd definitely reconsider. I'm sure that's why OneManArmy has been a long-time passholder @ Bear Valley. [*NapoleonDynamite*]Luckyyyy.[/*NapoleonDynamite*] Or if I had a regular crew of folks that I consistently rode with in which we all had similar riding ability & terrain preference along with same schedule availability, then I could easily see myself forking over the dough.
But until then, I'll happily go about using discounts, comp's, etc. to get my shred on. Last year, I got 16 days in at 11 different resorts. And factoring these freebies & deals I took advantage of, I averaged just under 30 bux a lift ticket! The Tahoe Card, snow expos & whatnot are a snow-sporter's best friend.
Two seasons ago, I think my avg. was closer to 40 dollah. Last year, I just got really lucky w/ deals & comp's.
Happy Sliding, foo's! Can't wait to take those first turns! Yippeeeeeeeee!!!!

12 years.... shoot son...
This will be 16 for me...
I only hit up 2 resorts last year. Think like 4 the year before that. I'd like to do 4 or 5 this year. Do CO and maybe 3-5 tahoe resorts.

I'm definitely down to check out some new parks. I usually go to Dodge Ridge, but I haven't been out in a while. And after reading all this thread, I really, really want a sweet season with some awesome snowfall days.

I friggin' love Kirkwood! Will probably get a pass there....
If anyone is looking for cheap gear, check out this link:
www.whiskeymilitia.com
Funny thing about this site is they only have one item at a time, but super cheap and it updates every hour or so.
They have more than just snowboard gear though so you may have to constantly check out the site until they have something you like...

Unfortunately, I only went snowboarding 1x last season. Hope this season is going to be way different. Used to go to Sierra a lot, but now been hitting up Dodge Ridge.
