Lots of guys do kirkwood runs... the sugar wood pass or whatever it is.
I know me and my brother are doing bear valley passes this year. I know there is talk of both IPOZESTU and bluwrxwagon getting them as well.
Bear Valley is my joint.
Lord willing we'll get a full winter this year and I'll be able to get in over 20 days again.
Anyone need bindings or boards? I have a couple sets of bindings, 2 brand new pairs of boots and a board I'm looking to sell.

I like to mix things up. Did Dodge Ridge, Sugarbowl, Sierra, & Heavenly last season.
Sierra or Dodge are my go to's for same day "coast 2 mtn 2 coast" trips. I didnt really like Sugarbowl, but do want to check out other North Tahoe resorts, ad also Kirkwood on the south.
Will see what lift tix I come up on at Icer Air next month.

only park i've been to is heavenly a couple times..but it get busy..and super busy..what are your guy's recommendations? Im going to Tahoe first week of January with a couple of folks.
I don't know what I am going to do yet. Probably a SP a bear valley cause it comes with Perks.
Those of you looking for a new board, Lowball is taking orders for new boards. I think you need to have your order in by the end of the month.

Eff FLATSTAR! The only saving grace for that place is their impeccable park. The rest of the mountain SUCKS. Not challenging at all and ZERO steeps.
I've been riding Alpine, Sugarbowl and Squaw for the past couple of years. Mostly Alpine though. Day tickets aren't too bad and there's a ton of good terrain (a 5 minute hike will get you to some super fun terrain), and there haven't been too many crowds the past couple years. If it's been dumping, it's Squaw for sure. I'd ride Kirkwood more, but my folks have a place in Tahoe Donner (Truckee), so I don't make it that far south very often. I had a pass to Sugarbowl a few years back and had a pretty good year (roughly 23 days), but I got bored of riding the same mountain all year.
For those of you thinking of taking bigger trips, I'd suggest Wyoming or Utah. Colorado is fun and all (went to school in CU and rode 30+ days/year for 5 years), but they really don't get as much fresh as the resorts in Utah and Wyoming. The benefit of Wyoming is there's a crapload less crowds.

oh and if u guys didnt know, kirkwood has two new lifts this season, both servicing terrian i used to hike to on the back side. the main lift on the back side has also been upgraded to a high speed
powder days back there are going to be awesome. no more 16 minute lift ride
If you guys can't tell, i'm a lil excited about it!

bay area ski bus is not worth it, i was considering it acouple times but after looking at the prices it just didn't make sense unless its a 2-3 day trip.
last season was okay for me, im all for jib but im the only one of my friends who hits the park so it gets boring by myself.
northstar- its pretty cool for being close and not that expensive. you just gotta go to the top and find some dope runs. slow conditions are usally not as good as s/n tahoe spots though. i like it
boreal- is whack. i went on the $15 college friday deal and it was just boring. not that many lifts were open but still i didn't see much potential. i say its a good spot to bring new people to and theyll have fun.
squaw valley - its cool, really big, high eleveation but expensive as fawk. mainly suited for skiers though.
heavenly - is dope, expensive but dope. its huge. a lot of different runs suiting different levels and styles, plus a really nice village, squaw too.
kirkwood - is whack for my style at least. there was AWESOME snow. but the runs were boring me fast.
northstar - is dopee. like others have said it gets packed. its jibtastic too if thats your flavor. i got knocked the **** out here.
i really should invest in a season pass but im too stubborn. probably wont even ride this season since i got my fire academy for the next 6 months.
i love snowboarding. have fun and be safe everybody. for when the season starts.
