In some sick way, I sort of look forward to the big quake... I just hope I'm still young... It'd be cool to have the quake once and for all only with no destruction.
For those of you not from this area, I sort of grew up in these neck of the woods, experienced the Lona Prieta quake of 89' which made part of the bay bridge collapse as well as many other things... Unless you're in a really old building that isn't seismically sound, you're not going to die, its sort of fun actually (during) and of course sucks after because of the after shocks, power outages, and so forth.
So don't fret, you wont die... few do so your chances are very slim.
I'd rather have an earthquake then a friggin tornado or hurricane!

Because we have the best climate, and over all location in all of the USA. Its not like buildings just fall during an earth quake... Stuff shakes for 15 seconds and thats it... Stuff that gets messed up is like old stuff that isn't built up to earthquake standards, etc, and even then its not so terrible... Im sure the media hyped it all up and crap for you out of towners.
