yeah, I guess the whole earth quake thing is about being a native... Well, Im kinda native, 1986 I came to the states from Germany... I was a little confused about the 89 earthquake because they didnt teach us that stuff in school... After 89, every month they did a drill... But after that, nothing even phases me... Hell, the train going by does more...

Tornados do way more damage in the US then earthquakes... and I said in the USA. I'd crap my pants if a tornado came by and lifted my house up! F' that... At least you can't see earthquakes and they are very quick.

wow that smilie is a dirty one...

I lived with floods tornados and major lightening but earthquakes scare me. I feel such small ones but since everyone I know lived here for years I don't even bring them up anymore cus they just look at me and think I am imagining it. Bryan always tells me if its not a 6 plus he doesn't feel them or care about them. After seeing the news the other night I told Bryan I am ready to move lol.

Lived through the Northridge earthquake. Kinda weird waking up in bed and being able to see daylight through the cracks in the wall next to your bed.

And if s*** hits the fan, you can take stuff from people who dont have guns!

I'm just kidding of course, machetes work good too.

Oh, btw... I went to this really killer Sushi place in Japan town in San Jose tonight... All I remember was that it started with a T, was next door to some club/restaurant and its in the middle of Japan Town. Best sushi I've had in a long time. I would recommend it but I cant remember the name! *doh!*

I don't know, they were both in the high 6's, and I was living up here (North Bay) when the Loma Prieta hit. Just sitting down to watch the Bay Bridge series when all the sudden, the Bay Bridge section just collapses...

...and our CB radio club took up donations from the hotels in our area, and gathered two truckloads of materials to take down to the earthquake victims.
