BAIC Insomniacs, post here:
Man, this is my third night without sleep... I fall asleep for maybe an hour and then I can't stay asleep, and falling asleep is a joke in the first place, have to lay in bed for like 5 hours before you can even get that 1 hour of napage.
I haven't taken any caffeine or any other stimulants, I'm just cursed this way, it started as a little kid and progressively got worse, and in the last two days I have tried the following sleep aids:
1. Diphenhydramine (Basic over the counter bs, same as benadryl)
2. Melatonin (Natural hormone your brain produces to sleep)
3. Valarian root (natural sleep aid)
Then I got tired of using crappy ones so I went all out
4. Seroquel, which is a tranquilizer that I was given as a sleep aid since its one of the only ones I don't react badly to, still, now I'm just tired but can't fall asleep!
I really think I need a better prescription. I tried living without sleep aids, but I'd get about 2 hours of sleep max and be miserable the next day, so I started taking them a couples years ago.
Who else is in my boat?
We should have a 3am BAIC meet, the first of its kind. Then we can rage on Mt Hamilton. lol
On a side note, I at a 2 lb ribeye steak like 4 hours ago... Nothing like bbqing at 11pm.

lol this reminded me of fight club where edward norton's character was an insomniac. I'd say go do some exercise, get some action, or fap it if getting some isn't an option at 3am. Oh and don't forget the valerian root
ps - this isn't an insomnia post...I actually do get up at 4am M-F.

Not really insomnia for me... work. It's the part about going to bed when I get home at 3:30 that I fail at. I would totally be down for a 3am meet. It would be the only meet I could make ;-)

I can't believe I've been up for 3 days and I have more energy than someone who has a lot of energy... Too bad its only my body, brain feels like its shutting down.

If only I had picked up my computer last night just before I finally fell asleep at 4:30...
I usually have late nights all to just be able to make it through school and and work (9AM-10PM)... luckily I only have classes MWF and work on MTW.
I have found that Water usually helps me sleep... no food, no activity, just lay down watch something on tv and drink some water... don't give your body anything to run off of... and eventually you will go out.
