Tires, when stored, can easily look like they're holding air even if they're near flat. I've been fooled like this as well, as I've stored S-03s in my garage, and when I looked at them they were fine, but when I put them on, one had a small nail and it was flat. Since they're stored on their side, the sidewall can be strong enough to look like there's nothing wrong with it, let alone depending on how long they were stored, air slowly leaks out of tires.

Given on what you said, the fact that it was a clean transaction, he stayed around and chatted it up, gives me the feeling that he had no intention to deceive you. Next time, why not ask him to help you put them on, as swapping 4 wheels is a very quick job especially for 2 people.

Im sorry about your troubles, but i find it a bit irrational that you somehow see this as a reflection on I-club as a whole and not just the party responsible. We do have a good community here but we are all still individuals and your dealings with anyone here should be seen in that light. And yes its the same on NASIOC or any other car forum. Anyhow best of luck, hopefully you can come to an agreement on this.

I'm just moving on, not a reflection of the whole community, I probably handled it wrong from the get go just since I was so distraught about being late for work (I work for a summer camp/afterschool so I need to be accountable for my kids). Why a guy on the boards dropped off a set of spring compressors for me to use no questions asked so that's awesome. Def. had some good experiences here and I'll continue to snoop around but never make it out to meets haha.
