Have you ever been further south on 49, Paul? The road to Coulterville, Groveland, and Mariposa. Barfers call it the little dragon. Pretty much amazing.

 

Has anyone done hwy 88/89 and the kirkwood pass?

I did that once in the fall very late at night, absolutely no one on the road and it was one of the funnest drives ever.

 

Ridden/driven a bunch of these roads. All great fun. Still prefer the track any day...
