April 9/10 Snowboarding
Ok guys. I'm gonna put up a full thread or update this one later with plans.
But I'm curious how many people would be interested.
Basically. I'd be leaving sometime Friday night. Driving up to Arnold and crashing at my family cabin. We have a tune station set up there so you can wax your boards there. I haven't been up there this season because of my knee so I'm not sure how much wax is there and what not. But I usually have wax for every temp and plenty of it. An decent scrapers.
Then I'd be driving home sometime sunday evening.
You can come up Friday night. Sat night. Sat. morning. Sunday morning. I don't care. Long as someone is there.
I don't have a rediculous amount of room but I should have plenty. We'll ride at bear valley.
That weekend they have this going on...
So even if the snow sucks we can have some fun. But if history repeats we'll get some fresh snow around that time. April was wet as hell last year. I am still not up to 100% yet but hey...nothing a little carbon fiber can't fix. Photos to come. But I can hang alright on the groomers and in low pow. If you want to fly..my brother can escort.
We have a grill up there so we can buy food at the store and BBQ at the house or pick up some round table. We can figure that out.
But this is more of a fealer thread...
So who'd be in?
I'll put racks for 4 boards on my car and room for 2 people and gear. Should have a PS2 back in the car by then. Have to leave a slot to pick up my brother along the way.

Well, I'm heading up there Friday for some bs... gonna be there with my gf. I'm supposed to meet friend in South Lake Tahoe on saturday (for a gun show). You guys gonna bbq it up on Friday night? If so, I'm down, and I'll bring beer or whatever. I cant board with you guys the next day, but at least we can party it up one night.
ya know i'm all over this...just as long as i get time off fr: wk. but that shouldn't be too difficult since i have a buncha vacation that they want me to use!
btw, for those who are up for it...we can ride/ski both days(sat, apr 9 & sun, apr 10) for only $35!!! how? lift tix @costco are $69.99 a pair, so two people go in on this for sat. then keep that lift tix on your pants & show it @the tix window on sun to do it all over again for free.
damn! whatta combo! BBQ! Brewz! Boardin'(or skiing)!

Right on right on.
There is a very good chance I'll be getting in on this..

$299 for next years season pass and you can finish out this year. if you only get 2 days in this spring that means you only have to go like 5 times next year and it's paid for.
I had a season pass a couple years ago and went like 20 times to bear alone. And you know I'll be up as often as possible next year since my knee killed this year for me.
So back on topic.
We can BBQ Friday if you want..be a late BBQ though....or we can BBQ down here in the bay then drive up to arnold. Or BBQ Sat.
For those of you that know arnold..the place is where the BofA is. Make a left there and go up the hill a bit. easy find. Plus if it snows...that BofA parking lot is prime for donuts...just look at my photos..haaa.
So this is a definate go as of right now. So plan on it. We'll figure out the details as time goes.
But I'd like to be there friday night because that means we can get up around 6:30 and still have time to get grub and be there when they crack the gates. I generally tune my board the night before.
On a side note. It's going to snow pretty good all weekend at bear if you guys want to ride this weekend..I can't my girls made plans for me and I'm hoping to install my suspension and exhaust on Sunday with any help I can find..hint..hint...read JUSTIN...hint..haaaa.
But from my weather tracking over the last few days I'd say it's gonna whip around and hit twice. That means hopefully if it continues..the snow level won't drop too much and HOPEFULLY we'll get tagged and be able to ride powder that weekend. But at the very least the snow is sticking around. If it's hot...that weekend is lady central for you single guys.

Oh...we can have a session up at the cabin as well. I've got a decent TV set up and a HUGE couch.
for sleeping....got one double bed in a seperate room. The boys room...my brothers...we have a bunk with a twin on top a double on the bottom. And another with 2 twins.
Plus the couch takes 2 and a couch down stairs. Plus a couple foam away from homes. We had 16 people there once...I took a foam and crashed in the closet...so any early sleepers can do that. It was nice.
It's my family house up there so we have to respect it or we won't be able to do this next year.
wordem up.
