Anyone use napa rotors for a track day?

been running w/e blanks i could find with dtc-60s and 70s for a while, since the pads wear them out before they even crack. Too lazy to swap out to street stuff anyway so i use them on the street.

Have used from napa, orielly, centric (stoptech same shenanigans)


Most important to all of them is properly bedding them in and making sure they are overheating, proper procedures before complete stop.

NO hand brake or holding braking when stopped etc etc. Getting brake ducts if you know they are overheating or taking it easy that last lap to cool them.

Btw my rotors i was gonna sell you, still cheaper

I could be wrong but whenever you get a new set of rotors and/or pads, you need to bed them in properly. Here is a video tutorial on how to do that:

And someone mentioned the Centric blanks - I believe they are made by Stoptech, so they shouldn't be garbage: Rotors Overview

so just swapped out all 4 rotors to the NAPA premium rotors, they are not warped and they feel great.

I had APM 1 piece up front that was heat cracked and OEM in the rear that were fine.

I have HPS/Stoptech pads for street, and PF-01 for track days. generally i track every 3 months or so and rotors usually last me a year half, and i expect these to be the same.

just bedded the stoptech performance pads 2 days ago and i'm liking the grip more than the HPS's.

1 piece rotors are just heat sinks, regardless of who makes them they will absorb heat until a certain point, and most have a very similar point. adding brake ducts (i don't have, just some air deflectors) help for rotor life.

2 piece is best for heat management and saving the wheel bearings, but i just can't afford to replace them so frequently.

I know that acdelco and raybestos rotors are basically the same so I don't see why napa or whoevers rotors aren't the same

i said **** it and just installed the ebc yellows on the rotors i have now. Everything seems fine just came back on some normal bedding. Tomorrow ill see if there's anything weird.
