Talking Anyone on here a Police Officer?

I got a ticket for tints and no front license plate. its a fix it ticket and I need a police officer to sign it off... ? or know anyone who is? its a $400+ ticket for No front license plate.. Its weird, when I got the ticket it said on the ticket NO FRONT license plate.. but when I got the bill from the court it said "missing 2 license plate"? I have my rear plate... why does it say i'm missing 2??? is that why its over $400???

Let me know...
Thanks

I am not a LEO but does the wording on the court doc sound like this:

5200. (a) When two license plates are issued by the department for use upon a vehicle, they shall be attached to the vehicle for which they were issued, one in the front and the other in the rear.

The plates are a write off ticket, put on, deal with it. But the tint, you have two options here.

1. Take tint off by, buy new glass, or just have it removed, or...

2. Heres the Cali vehichle code. Cops only ticket the "front windows" even though the law says something completely different, it says: "no tint or film, on ANY WINDOWS:
"26708.5. (a) No person shall place, install, affix, or apply any transparent material upon the windshield, or side or rear windows, of any motor vehicle if the material alters the color or reduces the light transmittance of the windshield or side or rear windows, except as provided in subdivision (b), (c), or (d) of Section 26708.

(b) Tinted safety glass may be installed in a vehicle if (1) the glass complies with motor vehicle safety standards of the United States Department of Transportation for safety glazing materials, and (2) the glass is installed in a location permitted by those standards for the particular type of glass used.

SO, you could buy "TINTED GLASS" and then throw up a middle finger everytime you get pulled over, or try to fight it in court, saying that the police only write half assed tickets, and dont write tickets to 90% of the cars on the road with rear tinted windows. so, take whatever route you want. But these cops got to be stopped, the dont even understand the "laws" they are trying to up hold.

I wish I had read the code before I bought back up un-tinted glass when I got my ticket, cause I would have just bought pre-tinted glass and subverted the stupid law in the first place.

oh, if you want to look up the codes yourself heres the site:

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/vc/vc.htm

Then just go to the letter of offense, "W" for windsheild, windows. "E" for exhaust and so on. Happy Hunting.

Put the plates back on and get it signed off. Should be $25 fixed, it USED to be $10.

Angry

The tint is a NONE fix-it ticket, the police told me I had the car for too long and now its a NONE fix-it ticket... what a BS... anyways thats ONE..

Two: Front license plate is a fix-it ticket, I can install the plate and I need a police officer to sign it off for the plate and I think its like $50 after i get it signed off.. OR $400 after the date of court.

so I'm just asking if any of the member on here is a police office? So i can get it signed off for the plate and I believe the tint is like $45 or something? i can pay for those but NOT $400!

and this is the 2nd time I got pulled over in Millbrae, near the BART station... I've been driving it around for one a year now and ONLY got pulled over in Millbrae... I hate them! I tried NOT to go near Mullbrae BUT I work in SSF and live in Hayward so I have to pass Millbrae EVERY weekdays... I really don't use my wrx for DD, but once in awhile I like to drive the WRX, you know.. and thats when the freaken Millbrae police pulls me over... I wasn't speeding or driving crazy at all... I was just chatting with a buddy in the car while driving to IN & OUT to get food... BUT after the 2nd time, I DO what ever it takes NOT TO GO TO MILLBRAE, EVER AGAIN! I HATE MILLBRAE Police..

the office the pulled me over was a rookie, he has someone else trainning him on how to write a ticket... they tried to tell me that the Cat-Back I have is illegal and I told them I'm a SMOG tech and I KNOW my freaken car is all illegal and the rookie didn't say anything and went back to the other office and started asking questions... I even ask the rookie i thought the tint ticket was a fix-it but he said NO and couldn't give me a good explanation at all! I dont have problems with the police, but I do with the Millbrae Rookie Police!!! 2nd time ONLY in Millbrae!!!

You can have the ticket signed off by any cop at all from any city in the bay area. Shouldn't be too hard. A friend got a missing front license plate ticket in sf as well, got it signed off in Alameda.
