PISSED! soldier shot by police officer
i cant find much info but i saw the amateur footage of the shooting on the Spanish channel IN FULL if i may add
from the report the soldier was a passenger in the car that was involved in what the police say was a short high speed pursuit
after they lost control into a fence the cops approached the vehicle at gun point and had them on the floor...
the passenger of the car was spread out on the ground face down when the cop orders him to get up. you can see the soldier trying to explain that he on his side, he just got back from iraq and is in the military in that same breath he starts to get up and the officer shoots him 3 times, you can see the soldier on the floor yelling in pain and rolling around as the officer starts to yell obscenities at him while calling "shots fired" over the radio.
dude im so freaking PISSED OFF right now... the cop is on PAID leave of course.
i have it recorded on my tivo so if someone wants to host it lmk

Wow. This should spur some cognitive dissonance here.
On one hand, I feel that the officer probably overreacted, but I am of a mind that great care should be taken before pulling a trigger.
On the other hand...I certainly wasn't there on that dark Chino night, and it sounds like the soldier wasn't doing his best to be compliant. I'm guessing he was intoxicated.

you can see the video here
http://www.local6.com/news/6652276/detail.html
you can clearly hear the officer tell him to stand up. according to the FBI so far it sounds like the officer was saying "stand up so we can shoot you"
then you can hear the officer telling the soldier to "SHUT THE **** UP! "

and another thing... why don’t we hold peace officers to STRICKED and the HIGHEST of standards that we hold our military personal
it seems to me that when a member of the military piles up naked terrorists they get the book thrown at them but here this officer can shoot someone and be on paid leave and everyone defends his actions

Well all things considered those soldiers are scum...
If this police officer gets off I’ll be very surprised and frustrated. Of course, Jason March, the drunk off-duty officer that plowed into that 13yr old boy in Elk Grove and then fled, got his manslaughter charges dropped for some ungodly reason I cannot understand. At least that's the only charge filed so far by the Sacramento Dist Attorney.

First...several UNCONVICTED prisoners died at the hands of the AG guards. It wasn't simply a matter of "piling up naked terrorists" as 1. They weren't convicted of terrorism and 2. Several were murdered in AG.
Second....the officer hasn't gone to trial. We have to wait to see what the punnishment is.

But, i meant my previous comment to be taken more generally and not literally.
and as for the part of "waiting to see what the punishment is" if its left to the local DA in chino he wont be charged.
the DA in that jurisdiction has never brought charges against its officers to date.
