Insanity in SF Police Management- Officer fired for comedy roast tape

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10376787/

Man, "any-two-some Newsom" and the affirmative action Beneficiary police chief are firing this guy for comedy? Just like they are supposed to uphold the spirit and intent of the law, they should see this tape for what it is... a morale boosting comedy skit.

Besides the small loss of innocent life, I kinda wish a monster wave would take out SF right now.

It's not that a person made a comedy tape. It's that a police officer from the highest crime rate area of SF made a comedy tape about the minority groups he deals with every day...clearly he has a superiority complex and should not be an officer of the law.

I'm betting that the tape wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. I'm willing to bet it was some ***** on the force that everyone hated that made a complaint. These cops that deal with the scum of society all day need to have some sort of outlet to purge stress with. If they don't, they end up putting 40 rounds into some guy just trying to get his I.D. out of his wallet. I think they're being way to P.C. on this one by calling it a "truly one of the darkest days". Give me an F'n break. People are way too damn sensitive these days.

It's rather a commentary on sterotypes like white male cops having superiority complexes. Thank YOU for validating the irrational viewpoint

Material such as this is absolutely inappropriate to be shown to employees on the public payroll.

Privately owned companies can do what they want, but city entities are beholden by the constitution of the state to protect their employees from racist, homophobic, and sexist content.

I guarantee that if this material had been allowed to be shown, a lawsuit would have been filed, and won....and rightfully so.

What does my seeing the entire tape have to do with your prejudices?

Because they're not my prejudices. You assume that this tape was innocent fun; I assume that the tape was completely inappropriate for police officers to be making. And so far, everyone who has seen them agrees with me except those who made the tapes. That's why I asked if you had seen them, because if you had then your assumption would have been more informed.

Do you remember when the 49ers got in trouble for an almost identicle thing? Everyone agreed that it was wrong of the team to make the tapes with slurs on them even if it was in jest. Same situation here, it was wrong and I'm glad the officers have been suspended.

Let me get this straight for the record; Helladumb thinks:
-cops should be able to make fun of whoever they want
-there should be no restriction on gun ownership whatsoever
-there should be a complete ban against gays even saying the word 'marriage'
-Christianity should be incorperated more into government
-anyone who calls themselves liberal should be institutionalized
-scientists should admit that they really are just jealous of Jesus himself and are out to ruin Christianity
-the government should have the right to violate anyone's privacy at any time
etc...

So do you just choose the most opresive aspects of theocracy and dictatorship and distort the truth to convince yourself that it's patriotism?

-scientists should admit that they really are just jealous of Jesus himself and are out to ruin Christianity (Not sure, you tell me)
-the government should have the right to violate anyone's privacy at any time
etc... (yes, within reason)
answered within the quote in parenthesis

Cool, as long as we both realize you desire a non-democratic type of government. I was begining to think you actually thought your ideas WERE democratic.

What if I told you that the officer was black? What if this officer used to be homeless like Willie Brown?

Oh, I see. This is only the result of a white cop's superiority complex?

I guess you haven't seen the tape.

Do you mean a democracy where you can joke around with sensitive subjects, or one where people aren't allowed to say (or even joke about) what they think?
