I think I'll finally step into the waters with this price drop!

Any news on what "features" may have been dropped or added with this "slim" version?

Got my 80GB for $333, shipped from Dell.com like 9 months ago. Makes a great media extender and sometimes I even play games on it.

I bought my PS3 for $300 2 years ago. I got a sony card, instantly approved and the first purchase was $100 off. So I bought a PS3 with it and then paid if off. Haven't pulled out of my wallet since.

I think if I had to do it all over again, I'd have waited. I bought it to have it for bluray, and now that we make out own bluray player, I don't even use it. Because reason 2 for buying the PS3 was for GT:5, and who knows when that's gonna happen.

I haven't touched my PS3 in over 11 months!

Thats the answer I'm waiting for $100 off is nice, but $300 is still more than I can splurge on at the moment.

Streaming via TVersity is probably cool if you have Gigabit wired or 802.11N but it sucked via 802.11G for most vids. I make sure to DL good AVI's and then just throw a bunch on a thumb drive. They look way better when played directly off a thumb drive.

I hope Sony releases an update someday that will just allow you to join your PS3 to the workgroup so you can browse all your movies without TVersity or the like.
