I think my clutch is slipping anyone know for sure? when im driving the rpms will sometimes rev up way higher then what im accelerating and then when i push it harder it revs way up then the clutch tends to smell... it happens mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear...anyone have this issue before and whats wrong with my baby?

Ya, your clutch is slipping.

It's gonna cost you whatever a replacement clutch costs. I'd probably have a shop replace it if I were you.

 

Depending on the labor costs for specific shops, I'm guessing its gonna cost you between 1-1.5 thousand.

 

I got my clutch done at EQ Tuning and they did a great job. I got a full face clutch RPS Max clutch for the same price that most places were quoting an OEM clutch.

I dont recall what I paid, but I think it was around $1150 - $1300.

 

how many miles do you have? how often do you dump your clutch?

 

got like 93k and i never dump the clutch but i bought the car used several months ago so...previous owner?

 

Talk to Paul at DB tuned. He just put a sweet new clutch in for me for less then i was quoted at the dealer for the OEM clutch. Paul is on this forum. he could probably get you a quote if you PM him.
