Anyone have experience getting to a snapped-off trailing arm captive nut??
Hey guys, so I just went to install my new trailing arm bushings & upon trying to remove the three front bracket bolts, I had three of the captive nuts' spot welds snap on me. Now I have to get a hole saw & drill through the metal under my back seats to get to them. Has anyone around here had to deal with this before?

Bought a 1.5" hole saw & got to here tonight:

You can see the snapped nut through the hole, gotta cut one more next to it, then one for the front nut, which sucks because it needs to go right through that thicker, formed piece of sheet metal to the left (where it's scratched up is where the hole needs to be drilled......which sucks).

Holy crap man. That really sucks!! With what happened you're on the right track on that side unfortunately. I would soak the everloving snot out of the other side for days before you tackle it and break out the torch as well. It may save you some of the headaches you're currently experiencing. That chassis has seen some some miles and time though so things like this are somewhat expected depending on climate.
Good luck!
