Any1 have experience with a Infiniti FX35 or FX45?

Wife and I are thinking of selling her 4dr G35 for a FX35 or FX45, our G35 has been real good to us.

Advice? Comments would be great.

Our main thing is to get a Suv that doesnt feel like a boat. haha..our range is MAX 21K..

Btw the G35 will be for sale, so let me know if anyone is interested. It is very well maintained?

TIA

Old boss has the FX45 his daughter has the Nissan equivalent of the FX35 both are nice rides. the 45 is quick, it also likes gas. When ever I fly into Vegas and i let the him know ahead of time he has the 45 waiting for me in Valle so I have a vehicle while I am there. Nav and entertainment system works great seats are comfy (im 6'5"). The exhaust tone for stock sounds good.

loves to drink gas.

as far as engine goes, it's pretty much like the g35...watch out for OC issues.

actually...its pretty much like a g35

paint is horrible (kinda like subaru paint)..gets chipped (rock chips) easily, and very prone to swirl marks.

leather cracks easily as well

fx35 has a tiny interior for a mid size SUV.

the MDX uses about just as much gas, and theyre both guzzlers, but has AWD and a way larger interior.

in fact, the fx35 felt like it had about the same interior space as my 05 acura TL.

My mom bought an FX35 back in 2005 and LOVES it.

Only gripes
  • Rear visibility sucks and the factory rear camera system (at the time) was a $4500 option
  • Gas Mileage... goes without saying.
  • Back Seat Space. I dunno - just seems like a car of this size should have more space in the passenger compartment.

Don't get me wrong... this is a great car

My work had an fx45. I didn't like it. The suspension's very stiff to control body motion. How abt an fxt instead? Better mileage and ride and costs less.

why get an SUV if it's as small on the inside as a smallish car?
