And who showed you to punch a hole to let the oil drain?

I have the o-ring. Stopped using it after the first oil change. LOL
It's a bit of a pain, and one additional tool (pliers). I think they charge $1 for it.

Been running Fumoto on my car and the wife's. No leaks the past couple of years.

I just installed mine last weekend.

I have the kind w/o nipple... it seems to have about the same clearance as the original drain plug bolt.

Remember what we were talking about at mvkk? Maybe it is a good idea to get that ring so it'll be harder for ppl to drain your oil lol.

Ive been using them on my cars for almost ten years. I just bought an SF Forester and somehow overfilled the oil. I didnt have a fumoto yet and wanted to drain a small amount.

Anybody know a local place (around San Jose) to get a fumoto drain valve with a nipple for my 04 wrx?

I was still having messy oil changes because of the filter until I figured out the "wrap a plastic bag full of rags around the oil filter" trick.

It's sticks down a little, but I've had no issues.
The other trick is to use one of those large red plastic cups (from partying) and stick that on the oil filter.
