There is an easier way to do that.
Cut from the top left BELOW the hinge to bottom right ABOVE the hinge. Then cut from bottom left ABOVE the hinge to top right BELOW the hinge. That will make a ramp. You'll have to experiment with the angle of the second cut. Then, re-cut top left to bottom right in almost the same line. That will toss the dude up. Three cuts. That's all you need.
