Tranny fluid you just take off the IC
Rear diff its just two bolts in the rear diff, top one fill, bottom one drain.
whats left? washing car, oil, coolant, and rotate tires. anyone could do those...
even if you broke it up to what you can do, and take the car in to any 'ol shop for what you cant do, it will still be way less than $600.

I asked the same question two weeks ago, and had the same concerns as you.
I called around to several dealers, including Redwood City, and they were all about $595 for the 30k service on my '03 WRX. Absolutely rediculous. I gave 'em the middle finger and, upon a very favorable review from others here on the i-club forum, I took my car to LIC Motorsports in Novato. Those guys were terrific, and charged me half what the dealer wanted. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT!
I live in Sunnyvale and drove 150 miles, round trip (and I'd do it again). You should too.
Cheers!
PS. Plus they have a TV/Playstation, and wireless internet access!

Cool thanks. It looks like dealership is totally out of the question. I might try to go to LIC'd to do it but I live in Stockton and it'd be an all day event for me and right now can't do that because of work. Does anyone know of something closer? Maybe I'll just post the same thing in the Sacramento forum. Thanks again guys!!!
