good job Paul, Greg and Chapter 11!!!! wooot!

4xrex: your team ROCKED it yesturday! how did you stay so pretty??? i think your car was the ONLY car to stay looking somewhat normal

2 BAIC teams were in top5

Paul: come on now...im a drag racer hahaha...and no worries about boning us at the end we didnt have anymore brakes anyways. besides...ill make sure to pick on you next time! +10000000000 for the Beatle Juice pyrotechnics!

Greg: great job on keeping everything together! you guys are troopers!! all the horrible problems one right after another

our crx was STOCK! with a stock jdm zc engine. we threw it on the dyno and it made 96whp with 92tq! so thats why it seemed to pull hard.
we lost our radiator after our first driver switch yesturday...stoooopid firechicken and jeep got a road rage issue and the jeep took us out and some metal went threw the front of the radi. ....swapped it out (with a bad one) long enuff to get it fixed and then put it back in. then on that driver switch we hit something getting back on the track and took out our tire...so quick tire change and we were back out. we fell to 11 or 12th after the first radi and made a come back to 4th . sucked because on saturday we were in 2nd all day and in a three way tie for first in the morning . oh well we had a BLAST and were already planning our next racer!

paul and greg had me craking up all weekend! lovin greg's do rag

ill post some of my pics later once i get them off the camera and adjusted....have to get some REAL work done this week too haha

We did much better than I thought we would - we were running off and on until about 2:00 on Sunday. We had a shift linkage break Saturday afternoon, the exhaust got pushed into the drive shaft by the push truck, a radiator hose disintegrated Saturday evening, and then ultimately the car just died and wouldn't restart on Sunday. The event was a ton of fun, I'm seeing about putting something together for the October edition.

BTW, Paul's green smoke grenade == teh win!

Sorry if this has been posted/asked, but how many people are allowed per crew (that actually race)? and are there set times where you switch drivers?
This sounds like a lot of fun, there's going to be another one at Altamont in october?

Nevermind found it on the site.

Entry: $500 per car + $100 per driver + $75 for non-drivers. (Each team must have 4-6 drivers.)

Was a blast to watch. 85 or so cars on that small track was insane. Brushing up on my welding skills and gonna be driving Autoblog's RX-7 for the Oct. race.

I'm gonna see if I can get an entry for October. Failing that, I'll be looking for a race seat!

Sure was fun - much more crowded than last October. Great to see so many new teams! This time I was crewing for car #36, the Unstable Sable. I was also hanging out with car #12 the purple Hyundai with the rollcage on the outside, as well as car #84 the Sin City Lemons and car #17 with the white and orange stripe paint job. All friends from ORR.

Wish I'd seen this thread earlier, then I'd have come over and said hello.

BTW, congrats to car #22, you and car #666 were fun to watch for being SO aggressive out there!

A few of those leftover cars might be legal to run at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville. The 4 banger class is growing. Get to play almost every week,
