I think he has 17x8.5 +53 w/255/45/17.

No fender rubbing. If course, he rolled his rear fender.

And, in the back he is running 3mm spacer to have more spring/shock clearance.

i never thought u could even run a 235 on a 7.5 width wheel, or does the buldging not really affect tire fitment?

or is 235 the highest for a 7.5 wheel?

so on a 17x8 wheel u could run 245/255?? someone help me out on this

w/ an 8" wheel you can run (depending on the tire) 225-245... not sure about 255

i currently run 245/40/17 on my 17x8 torques.

i do have a set of 17" w/ 235/40/17 on them and they seem fine... though i killed 'em at buttonwillow.

its a bit of a dynamic, since the higher the aspect ratio is, the wider a tire you can fit on a given wheel width, this is why you can fit a 225/45 on a 7" wheel but need at least 7.5" wide wheel to run a 225/40, you also get more actual tread width with the same size tire in a lower aspect ratio, to see what Im talking about go to a tire shop and look at a 225/70/14 tire, the actual treadwidth looks like its only about 60% as wide as a 225/40.

So to answer your question, you can run a 245/45 on the same size width wheel as the 235/45 because when you increased the width you also increased the height of the sidewall, so the two cancel each other out, to really show this point, you need a wider wheel to run a 235/45 tire(at least 7.5") than you do for a 255/50 tire(at least 7")

you can run a 245/45 on a 8" wide rim, or a 255/40 on an 8.5. both these tires come in right around 25"OD which is right where you want. Hope this helps!
