^ What makes you so sure the upcoming Civic Type-R is AWD, and will come to the US?

I do like the Focus RS, though. It's definitely worth a drive

They've already shown the new Civic Type-R (hot-hatch) and it's still FWD. My statement was hypothetical - but can pretty much guarantee that the RS will rape the new Type-R around the Nurburgring too..

So I'm hoping when the large manufacturers get their ***** kicked in, they will respond with cars that actually raise the bar for the performance enthusiast. Mazda is supposedly toying with a new AWD Hot-Hatch, I hope they release something. Looks like the Ford will own the performance enthusiast segment when this car is released.

Subaru of America is about to find out what overstock means...

Even I want this car, and I don't buy new cars or even slightly used ones.

sounds great, but all of these new toys don't come cheap. its rumored priced close to $40k. at that range, there's a lot of other choices and other things to consider besides hp and grip.

Yes but very few, if any, will have the utility and performance of the RS. Especially if you don't like heavy Germanic vehicles (Golf R). The STi no longer has a hatchback so it's effectively out of the comparison (and it's going to be down comparatively performance-wise to the RS).

Lets just all hope we get a sweet FA25 with some forged bits in a year or two from the STi team.

Im definitely not haha, just hopeful.

Subaru is still a relatively small company compared to Ford, they can't exactly always be at the forefront of these battles.

Yea, saw this online today as well. That RS looks great. Perfect timing now that the EVO is retiring.

Ken Block drives the crap out of his Ford and his car flies. He's been neck and neck with the Subaru cars for a while now.

So glad that Ford is stepping up to the plate on this one. Although, my experience with Ford reliability is... they build some of the best trucks and muscle cars on earth... anything else, not so much.
