I agree...don't be a dick to cops.
However, I actually jumped this one cop's **** here where I live. Some punk kid about 2 years out of high school. You know, the kid who was not cool enough for the local car crowd (or whatever his deal was, don't really care) so he becomes a cop and hates on imports...even the other cops calls him "Fuzzy"
Anyway, I tore into him about profiling imports. I was very adamant about the fact that I do NOT speed, I do NOT street race, and I am just a dude who enjoys having a clean sporty car. Once I asked for his badge number, his name, and the name of his watch commander he got in his car and drove off
I thought I had screwed myself royally, but he and his profiling buddy have not looked my way since. Not recommended however lol.
Off topic, but I am proud that I fought the injustice and won
Sucks about the fix-its thought. Oh well I am rocking my front plate now, and I will probably remove the 35% front tint as it is a cop magnet...

Never Mouth Off, it will only end up with your butthole matching the size of the big mouth you're giving a workout. Remember you have the right to remain silent even before you are mirandized. Save the hot air & emotion for court, there's no such thing as a Jedi mind trick on a l.e.o

Wow...mouthing off to a cop...great idea...
I can't tell you how many times I've been let off with a warning just for being a nice, respectful individual. Imagine that...

Amen! And considering most of them have to deal with *******s 24/7, they actually might be nice/polite back to you.
Two weeks ago I was pulled over on 880 for speeding. I was going 80MPH on the dot. The CHP officer walks up and does is thing.
CHP: "do you know why I pulled you over?"
ME: "Yes, I was speeding"
CHP "How fast were you going"
ME: "80MPH"
Long story short. He comes back and hands me a ticket and says..
CHP: "I only wrote you up for your window tint because you told me what I wanted to hear. You told me exactly how fast you were going and didn't try to lie and say 65, 75. So I appreciate your honesty."
I thought that was cool as hell. Not to mention he loved my car and said he "couldn't believe" I did not have any speeding tickets.
anyhow,
So it looks like I'll be paying $25 in a week or two for that fix it.

Yeah, I got pulled over the day after Christmas at 7:15ish AM going "between 80 and 90". The sheriff had been pacing me for a while and since my back window was covered in dirt, I couldn't see him 'til it was waaaay to late. He basically walked up to the car, asked me if I knew why I was being pulled over and I said that I was speeding and that I was sorry. Had my license, reg. and ins. ready to hand to him and he said he'd been "trying to keep up for 15 to 20 miles" and that I was going between "80 and 90". I apologized again and said I was sorry. About 5 minutes later he hops out of his Tahoe without his ticket book. Comes to the window and explains how they'd had a dual fatality just two days prior and to "slow it down". No mention of the tint or missing front plate just a stern, disappointed father-like, look and a verbal warning. I thanked him profusely and was on my way.

oh, have they raised parking meter rates anywhere else? Monterey lowered the amount of time you get for your money. A nickel now gets you 2 friggin minutes!
I got a ticket for modified exhaust and they told me I had to go to court if I want to pay the $25 compliance fee. So two trips to 850 Bryant, take some time off work, standing in line for an hour and pay the $25 fee. I almost paid the $128 penalty instead of all this hassle!!
