Fix it Tickets?
Just wondering if people have got fix it tickets lately?
What did you get it for?(tint/lic/etc)
I am curious because I just read an article on line about how fix it tickets will be changed to just fines, has anyone else heard about that?

I had not heard of that, but wit the way the state finances are going I would not be suprised.
I havent had a fix-it in the subie but I have been stopped and let go after talking about front plate and tint.

On my current car (95 Honda Accord) I recently got a ticket for not having a front license plate.
Back when I was in school someone thought it would be cool to steal the license plate and license plate holders off of about 10 cars in my apartment complex's parking lot. Most of them were Hondas since it looks like it is damn easy to pull the holders down and to the left and boom you got a free license plate. $5 to replace the tag with a new one, $70 to replace the holder. Ok I'll wait til I get a work order repair that the police give out in Maryland. Well in Virginia they don't give out work orders, they give out tickets. Cop pulled me over claiming I was going 40 in a 25 (Actually I was doing maybe 35 and there is no way he could have tagged me, he was driving the other way on a 2 lane road with cars in front of and behind him. He saw no license plate and wanted an easy ticket.) $74 for the ticket. So when I took my Accord in for the 150k service I got the new license plater holder.
I could have taken the issue to court and as long as I had put a new holder and tag on the front I would have gotten the ticket dismissed and paid $20 in court fees, but I would have had to skip 1/2 a day of work (if not the whole day) so it made more sense to write out the $74 check....
