Fix it tickets
Well,
I got cited for two fix it tickets while I was driving home on leave and need to get them signed off what is the best way to do it. I got pulled over outside of Mojave.
The first was VC 5201, I have a clear license plate cover on my car and the officer said that I cannot have it on there. It does not obstruct the plate in anyway so I find this one quite odd.
The second VC 26708A1 was for front window tint. Which is not that dark and is lighter than the front but is still not allowed. Am I better off just paying the fine for the tint. Or should I peel it off and have it re-done one shade lighter. I have never been stopped in my local area.
I was originally pulled over for speed and was given these instead! which I prefer because no points will go on my license
Thanks Dennis

If you've never been stopped in your local area, just leave the tint on. Remove the clear license plate cover, pay the tint fine and have your ticket signed off at a CHP station.

You can either pull the tint and have it signed off or pay a fine (it's like $124) and get the ticket cleared, but you're at risk for future stops. skimonkey is an expert at this - he gets pulled over for tint all the time

I had front tint on my Volvo and never caught crap for it. Most cops are cool as long as they can see you pretty well. Did the cop use a tint reader, or just tell you it was too dark?

70% has been legal for quite sometime....
IIRC 70% is what stock windows in cars are already 'tinted' at......right?
