I'm a few miles south of 102k. Wondering about still doing rally-x or if I should be easy on the old fart.

As far as I know, yes. EJ22's have been known to go 300k+ miles

But since my car is from the east coast, it has a bit of a rust problem (kinda bad in the engine bay) . The engine may oulive the chasis, hehe...

Okay, My suby's about to hit 154k on the original engine. I'm getting some smoke whenever I gun it in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Probably time for a gasket changed throughout the motor and a good valve adjustment. Changed the timing belt at 105k, should I get it done again while the motor is apart just to do it?

what color is the smoke?

Could be wearing rings or a head gasket issue. If you're doing all the work you might as well do a timing belt as well.

Mine is about to hit 150. Talking 149,880 or something like that. Getting close. I checked my timing belt a couple weeks ago. All belts and hoses good but what subaru doesn't need a valve adjustment. haaaa.

Ba... my opinion... easy or hard... it'll go when it's ready.

It's like Katt Williams says... know your stroke count. Mix it up.

Damn Ray! On an 04? You make me feel not so bad about my mileage. Although the only reason I'm really concerned is that I'm coming up on the 105k service. At this point it'd all have to be put on a credit card which I do NOT want to do
