I'm sorry. I was not saying it couldn't be done. The 'majority' of the dealers 'were' and 'are' charging a premium over MSRP and getting it. No different then the 1st year of the Mini when everyone tagged on $4 and $5K and they couldn't keep one in the showroom to show.

By next year I suspect most STI's will be selling @ no more then MSRP.

Hrm, that's odd. I remember Santa Cruz & Carlsen being MSRP, the only dealership wanting the mark up was Steven's Creek.

i got mine from marin subaru (RIP) from i-clubber RS TURBO (hey andrew...)

he asked me if i wanted to test drive it...

i LOLed and just told him to wrap up the paper work...



i think when the initial delivery of STis were finally sold out (due to waiting lists and other suckers, er, enthusiasts like me...), that's when the raping by stevens creek, et al, began...
