Either that or the noob rider instinct to stomp the rear made him go down.
Very sad, but puts a perspective on all motor vehicle irresponsibility. Life is fragile kids.

25mph + school zone = mildly dented side of old lady's car. 25mph doesn't throw a 400lb motorcycle into the air, especially when he had time to brake.
He was doing at least double if not triple the speed limit.

have you ever seen a motorcycle accident? CHP report from my accident showed i was going 28mph (speed limit was 35) when i went down, my bike flipped end over end twice...if you want i can scan in the chp report and post it, or i can just give you the incident report number and you can contact the CHP and get a copy for yourself. either way...from my experience you just can't tell.
i'm not pretending to know everything here, i'm just trying to defend a dead kid from being mocked when he obviously defend himself. i'm just looking at my personal experience and applying it to the current situation...definitely not saying i know what happened.

no joke....say this guy slams his brakes and goes tail up and hits like that..side ways. Easily could do that kind of damage at under 35mph.
I wasn't aware how much damage could be done at lower speeds until recently. I was on my BICYCLE and went down at 35mph on the street. Got pretty messed up. The dr. kept asking for my helmet to see how it faired. I had to tell him 5-10 times I didn't ride with a helmet before he would believe me. He said I should be dead. I didn't take him seriously until i ran into a guy with a helmet in his hand that was WORKED. He went down like 3mph faster than I was going. Made me realize.
On top of that a friend of mine hit a parked semi truck trailer with his face while riding backwards..he does that stunting stuff. I wasn't there but from my understanding he wasn't halling *** by any means. Nearly killed him. The pressure from the impact busted the side of his face open and did some MAJOR damage to his nose. Ripping it up pretty gnarly and braking it.

looks like he coul dhave been going 25, all it would have taken would be for him to endo into the bike (thus causing the dents on the drivers door, while the bake turnedand smashed the rear doors of the car, flinging him onto the hood.
Looks like the stupid old ***** pulled the **** out in front of him..
sucks that a 16 year old lost his life..

okay when i get home i will scan the report, but here's what happened when i went down (my own words not the report so you can take it at face value if you want).
me and a group of friends were riding through some twisties off of hwy 17 somewhere, i don't remember what the name of the road was. we came around the corner and there was a dalmation sitting in the middle of the road (just sitting there). i was 4th in line to pass by the dog (there were 6 of us), the 3 in front of me slowed and rode right past the dog. for one reason or another the dog jumped in front of my bike. since the dog was about 50 lbs he was pretty big and i wasn't able to completely run the dog over so my bike flipped and threw me in the air. according to my friend in front of me he said that he though everyone had ridden past the dog safely until he looked in his mirror and saw a "big blue blurr spinning in the air." when the chp officers arrived at the scene they told me that there was nothing I could have done to avoid the accident. either way, chp noted on the accident report the speed limit, took measures of the skid marks, how far my bike landed, etc. I don't know how they came up with my speed limit (i think maybe it was from the friends' statements, i'm not sure) Either way the turn we were coming around was pretty tight and we all slowed before approaching the dog so they may have calculated the approx speed from that also. i'm not sure i'm not a cop. anyway there was $5,500 worth of damage to my bike...i have pictures of my bike after the accident also if you want me to post those.
either way i'll go home and dig up the report tonight and scan it, the accident happened two years ago, but i know i still have the slip of paper with the incident report number on it.
all i'm saying is we shouldn't pass judgement on a kid before we have all the facts and at the very least don't say OWN3D...give the kid a break, he may have been irresponsible (i never said he wasn't) but he paid the ultimate price. no need to rub it in.
all that said, i don't think i'll ever give up riding.
