*Help* Just Installed Defi Stepmaster26B

Everything wiring wise is in correctly.
The Gauge illuminates when the headlights are turned on.

It is one of the original Defi Boost Gauges with the First Gen Control Unit

The control unit does not light up
The gauge does not sweep
The gauge needle is at the bottom
The gauge does not react to peak set.

Im guessing the control unit is bad but any other ideas?

Mine did that to..try nd play with the wires hooking up to the unit. Took me forever to figure out it was the power harness to the control unit. The wires were pretty much coming off the connector after I figured it out.

I'll try nd find my manual later, see if it mentions anything.

theres the manual online...couldnt find mine, think i threw it havent had the gauges for some time.

would double check the wiring though, with mine everything looked okay, but after I pretty much tore it apart ended up being wires coming apart from the connector

What do you mean coming apart from the connector? Like fraying out?

the wire harness to the control unit..it looked fine at the connector at first glance, but after I actually inspected it the wires were coming loose from the connector. like the wires were coming apart from the pins.

not sure if all the harness for defi are like this but it was wire>wire shielding>plastic shielding (colored part of the wire) well my wire was actually broken..but the shielding/plastic was fine..

Shoot i just saw this, I could of told you that!! i had the same issue when i removed my cluster and one of the defi wires got pulled of a little bit but it wasnt that noticeable until i fulled my whole setup apart and found out that one pin was barely loose and caused the gauges not to work...
