HELP!!!...Just installed lowering springs and have HALF AXLE problems!
So I decided to take on the task of installing new lowering springs, which honestly wasn't too hard other than one aspect. When removing the front right strut I let the hub fall far off camber, pulling the half axle out of place. After fiddling with different hub angles and disk rotational positions, I was finally able to get the splines of the half axle to match up and mesh into the drive. I thought the nightmere was over, but it had just begun. After the half axle was back in and I reinstalled the strut I noticed that I could rotate the disk about 1/16 of a turn -and sure enough when I drove the car out my garage there was a light clunk before engagement (the 1/16 turn). I got the same clunk when accelerating and even high rpm deacceleration. Not only that, but during rapid acceleration the front end has a forward-back wobble. What did I do to my car? It was saturday and the only thing open was midas so i went to those guys who told me my ball joint was bad. It was replaced with absolutely no effect on the wobble or the noise. Please help me before more money is taken from me. Is there a certain spline that has to match up with the half axle? Is it too late after driving it like this? Hopefully it is just a matter of pulling the half axle out and getting it seated correctly.

having the axle come out of the hub is not a big deal as long as you put it back in ok.
Why did you take the axle nut off? That was unessecary, as you can pull the strut without taking that off.
Thats besides the point though. Make sure the nut is tight, that sucker has to be close to 200 ft lbs IIRC.
