impreza7, do you have 2001 or older? I was thinking about a similar setup, now missing up/down/exhaust manifold. I was thinking about getting all stock part (read cheap ). But I do have a 02RS. Would I still have these fitting issues?

Thanks!

beats the crap out of me?! But I'll be going to Santa Cruz Subaru this Sat so I'll find out. My main concern is well the setup work at all. I don't want to spend money on parts that is going to be shety later on. Since I don't have a hood scoop, I would have to run without IC (under i get FMIC) and low boost.

Does your newer model RS have the WRX crossmember in it?

The crossmember is the piece underneath the engine that the mounts bolt to. It is different in N/A and turbo Subarus.

Your stock RS headers are fine for turbocharging. I would suggest going with Tom's kit, it's VERY well thought out and effective. Almost as safe as a factory engine. Best part is, you can still use a top mount meant for an EJ25 among other things. You'll save yourself a lot of time and headaches and quite possibly money by using a pre-fab kit.
