Setup for HPDE and Auto-X... check my work for me

Hey all,
I plan on doing some HPDE and Auto-X events this year with my 06 STi.
It's my first time ever doing either type of racing (I have done drag before and I will do some drag this year too). I know you're going to say you don't need to be modified to run either event, and while thats true I plan on moddingmy car to enjoy it on the street (It's my DD) so I wanna mod it properly to conform with STU classes for Auto-X...
So here goes...

Engine -
ECUFlash tune
Full exhaust with 3in hi-flow cat
BOV (prolly just cuz I supposed I'm a ricer at heart and dig the sound)

Suspension/Brakes-
Coilovers (Not sure on brand ... open to opinions!)
Alignment (PLEASE Suggest specs!)
Carbotech Bobcat Pads

Wheels/Tires-
OEM BBS
Toyo R888 235/40/17

What else do you guys think I should add (if anything) ?

Thanks

I would add some sway bars also. That had a better effect on body roll than the coilovers for me.

I have ~2.5 - 3 degree neg on front and 2 in the rear. Some toe out in the front to improve steering response.

For STU, tires need to have thread wear greater than 140. I think the R888 are illegal for class. Also, tune wise, you can not mess with boost. Once you up boost, you my friend, are in SM.

My recommendations for you auto-x is just tires. Do that first. Learn your car. Make adjustments as you need them. No need to dump a s***load of money into your car. As for track days, only brake pads, fluids, and SS lines, but that is more of a safety thing than anything else. If your tires are at the end of their lifespan, change those out too.

Get a feel for your car and make the necessary adjustments. Trial and error. Remember, you are modifying your car to your tastes and preferences.

I agree wholeheartedly, you need to get a feel for your car before modding. I drove my basically stock 04 STi (cat-back only) for more than half the season before slowly adding suspension bits. Here in Hawaii the STU class is very small, most cars go directly to modified classes because of power tweaks the owners tend to perform first, the addition of just a blow-off valve to a stock car instantly puts you in SM. Personally for my DD, the stock STi horsepower is fine, so all of my mods have been with my suspension. And here is the best money you can spend if you have stock seats, get a CG Lock for your seatbelt, its hard to concentrate on driving if you are being thrown about the cockpit. Have fun at autocross!
