Question variable vane turbo

any one know of a variable vane turbo maufacture for the subaru. they are also called variable geometry turbos. at low rpms the act like a small turbo and then at high rpms the vane opens and they act like a larger turbo. i did a search on i club and the net but can only find them for the vw and the porche. if any one has any information let me know please.

doesnt the twin scroll setup require major engine changes and lots of ecu retuning?

i'm sure its been posted before, but...

vf37 setup will require the turbo, jdm downpipe, twin scroll header and uppipe (loosing the boxer rumble), and if you have a wrx then you'll need an sti oil pan. also the jdm downpipe won't connect up to the stock cat back, so add jdm length catback. if you have a wrx might as well upgrade to an sti intercooler, new injectors, and a fuel pump too. and yes you will need a tune. talk to autohq in redwood city about going this route their sales guy has a twin scroll forester he can give you all the details. if you're looking to do this soon i think the ecutek rep they fly out every so often is coming from japan in november to attend sema.

Variable-vane and twin-scroll turbo setups are NOT a bolt-on option, on any car out there. They are rare and specialized setups, and cannot just be swapped in. By following the instructions posted, you'd essentially be converting the car to a Spec C Legacy JDM.

Perhaps you need to look into the difference between "stock" and "bolt-on."
