help on a vf30?

I have a friend who is selling his vf30 turbo, I really dont have any extra money on me so if I was to buy this turbo is it safe to just bolt it right on? I know you don't get the best performance off it without a tuned chipped, injectors, and fuel pump. But eventually I can upgrade to it later. If I can directly bolt it on do I have to worry about blowing my engine with the stock ecu?? any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

Don't do it! You CAN put it on and be safe if you take it easy on the car. But like most people that are looking to modify their cars, they want to do fast so you will be tempted everytime you get in your car.
